My name is Silas Hummler, and I ́m happy to show you our city. Though I was not born here, I found a home in this beautiful village in 2009 at the age of eight. History has always been a penchant of mine, as well as ancient languages, which comes in helpful – either regarding classic Greek architecture, Hebrew synagoge inscriptions or Latin proverbs carved into the century-old beams of the old town buildings. I strive to share my knowledge in a profound yet appealing way to explain and underline the many impressions found in Celle.

Should you not find me in the old town, chances are high that I am at work in my farrier job. Talking of hooves and horses – the Lower Saxony state stud is located in Celle since 1735!
